The San Ysidro border crossing, at the end of the 5 and 805 freeways, is open 24 hours a-day and is the entrance into México most of us know. Passenger vehicles, vans and small trucks may cross through San Ysidro. Larger commercial trucks, flatbeds, etc. must cross at Otay Mesa.
